I know I’m posting pretty late since the November box came towards the middle of the month but most of you probably know by now that I’m anything but punctual. Well, I have my good days. 🙂
I subscribed to OwlCrate on a whim. I heard the November box’s theme was Wonderland and I knew Heartless by Marissa Meyer was coming out in November so I assumed that was going to be the book. And I’m SO HAPPY I got it. I am very satisfied with this month’s box, I loved every item! (Well, almost every item anyway).
List of items that came in the box:

- A quote card from Heartless
- Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
- Alice in Wonderland bookmark to match the book

- Alice in Wonderland magnet that says “Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality”
- Exclusive Wonderland tea in a lovely collector’s tin box
- An absolutely beautiful brown metal bookmark that looks like a small looking glass
I think I got more than enough for my money’s worth. The only problem I had with this box was the tea. I am a tea addict, and I’m not saying tea addict because I just happen to love tea but I am literally addicted. That said, I couldn’t drink this tea. Something about the flavor just did not appeal to me. I’m definitely going to be using the box it came in though, it’s BEAUTIFUL.
Overall, I would say this box deserves a five out of five stars.

Thanks for the pro tip about next month!! I haven’t done any sort of bookish loot crates myself yet, but I think this is something that I really should start investing in… Do you typically get two books in one box?!

No problem! I probably won’t be getting next month’s myself because I’ve been spending too much money lately but I think I’ll renew my subscription again on January. If you’re thinking of subscribing, Owl Crate is a pretty good place to start. I also hear wonderful things about Fairy Loot and those boxes are also beautiful.
This was my first box so I’m not sure if any of the past boxes have had two books but as far as I know, you usually only get one so I was surprised when I found two books in there. The “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” is just a companion piece to “Heartless” though so chances are, the next box will only have one book. But all the trinkets are so lovely!! I love all the Wonderland goodies!

You could subscribe to it for a month and see if you like it. I know the quality of the boxes fluctuates per month but generally, I mostly hear good things about it.

I haven’t yet! Almost every review I read talks about the insta-love and how the romance isn’t developed well so I keep putting it off. I need to start soon though!
