Wow, I’ve only read 38 books this year. Not even in the forties! This is a long way down from the 55 books I read last year. Though on the bright side, almost all of the ones I did read were good.

38 books is a good number! Especially considering how many amazing books you read years. Like seriously, I 100% approve of the ones you listed. Some of my favorite books are on there as well! You have amazing taste in books ❤
I won't enter the giveaway because I already have 2/3 books, but good luck to everyone else! And I hope you have a great reading year in 2017.

THANK YOU!! I guess we both have amazing taste in books then 😀 38 isn’t horrible but I was expecting to read a lot more this year. (It’s mostly due to the countless hours I spent watching TV). I hope so too! I’ll have to make a come back. Thanks for stopping by!!

TV is a great way to experience storytelling! There’s no shame in watching lots of good TV 🙂 What were some of your favorite shows this year?

Haha, thanks for making me feel better. I’ve been obsessed with all the Arrowverse shows (Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl). I just caught up with all the episodes though so hopefully, that’s enough motivation for my mind to get some reading done.

Omg, yesssss. I love all those shows. I’ve seen all of Supergirl, Almost caught up on The Flash, and just started Legends of Tomorrow yesterday. Ok, you are awesome!!

Six of Crows, my baby! Lady Midnight and And I Darken were both so amazing. Plus fierce, strong leading ladies? YES! I loved those books so much.I’m excited to see where The Trials of Apollo and Passenger go too. The former is like a five book series (I think it should just be a trilogy, but…?) and the latter is only a duology, but I’m still so excited. I need to read Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda and Aristotle and Dante. Everyone has said those books are amazing, but I still haven’t read them yet. *cries*

Six of Crows is MY baby! (I guess we can share custody though). Fierce and loyal ladies are the absolute best! I agree, I would rather Trials of Apollo be a trilogy because five books sound a bit much (though Solangelo is my other baby and I love them so much!).
Both Simon and Ari and Dante are wonderful books! You’re going to love them!

There’s nothing wrong with 38 books this year! That’s great! I’ve read 89 books this year so far… which isn’t my goal of 100, but that’s alright. I’ve been super busy the last few months. My favorite read this year was probably The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. I just loved that book! I’m looking forward to Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth coming out in January!! Thanks for the giveaway chance!

You read 89 books?? HOW??!! That’s amazing! I just looked up Nightingale and it sounds really good, I added it to my tbr shelf! I’m excited for Carve the Mark too! I hope I like it more than the Divergent series which overall I wasn’t a huge fan of. Thanks for stopping by Megan!

Last year I read 100, so I was hoping to meet that goal again, but ah well. Yes, you should definitely read The Nightingale. It’s such a beautiful story. And I haven’t read Divergent or watched the movies yet, but I still wanna read Carve the Mark… the cover is just so awesome!

Don’t be too hard on yourself for not making your goal. It happens! You read more than 1 book, so I’d say you’re good to go! Haha. There’s nothing wrong with 38!
One of the best books I read this year would be The Lost Girls by Heather Young. It was my first glimpse into historical fiction, but it wasn’t like old-timey kind of thing. It was a duo perspective: a niece and a great aunt. So really, it was just one generation that separate them. But it was such a good story; I loved it!!!

Aww, thanks. Hopefully I can read two more by the time the year ends so I can at least bring it up to 40. “The Lost Girls” sounds amazing, thank you for the recommendation! I’m trying to read more historical fiction so I’ll check it out.

Ah, all these books you mentioned are on my TBR list! Wrath of the Dawn – torch against the night… I’m glad you enjoyed them thought. And don’t worry about not hitting your reading goals – I didn’t hit mine either, but I loved most of the books I did read. Besides, there is always next year 🙂

Torch Against the Night was awesome! I hope you get to read them soon! Yay! There’s nothing better than failing together 😀

I don’t think 38 books is a failure at all, and I’m also excited because all of the books you say you loved this year are on my TBR, which means I have some amazing reads ahead of me 🙂

Ahh sorry you didn’t read as much as you’d like to, but it’s quality over quantity right? 😛 I love soooo many books you put on this list, mostly Crooked Kingdom, Ari & Dante, Simon VS, TWATD, The Raven King, and The Hidden Oracle 😀 also I’ve been wanting to read When the Moon Was Ours for months and I’m going to buy it by the end of the year! Hope 2017 will be a better reading year for us all ❤

Yup, quality is always preferred than quantity! When the Moon Was Ours was SO GOOD!! I think you’ll love it! With a new year comes new hope! Good luck to us both for 2017! Thanks for stopping by!

Readers can never be failures. If you read at all, then you are doing something right. Quantity is irrelevant. Happy reading in 2017.

Congrats to reading 38 books! Your excuse is, some books were just extremely long that’s all.. hehe.. I have only read Six of Crows and An Ember in the Ashes and I liked both of them a lot. Can’t wait to read book 2 of each series. How do you get the physical ARCs? That’s neat. Thanks for sharing! My favorite book I read this year is A List of Cages as you know hehe.. and I’m excited to read book 2 of each series I mentioned earlier hehe..

They were pretty long, weren’t they? I’ll need to use that as my excuse. Six of Crows is my little baby!! You’re going to love both Crooked Kingdom and A Torch Against the Night! (What I mean is, you better like those books or I’ll come for you) :D. I’m still getting ARCs from winning the B-Fest competition at Barnes and Nobles back in June. I believe they will stop mailing them on May. I’ll let you know if they do B-Fest again this year! Hehe, you may have mentioned List of Cages a few times 🙂 .

That’s a very cool win from Barnes and Noble. I also love Gilded Cage if you have not read yet. I like the way you do the giveaway. Those rafflecopters required too much and I often don’t join it. 😊
